Kurassus

October 2003

No, this ain't my character. Trademaked and copyrighted and whatnot by Marvel Enterprises. Don't sue me. Go visit Marvel.Com and buy their stuff like I do each and every month.

Anyways, this being out of the way, Kurassus here, from Marvels' series 'The Eternal' (written by the enormously talented Chuck Austen) is just one of the coolest damn character designs in comics today, and a really great self-absorbed villain. It's not often I feel compelled to draw someone else's characters, but in this case, I make an exception. Especially since I wanted to force myself to figure out how to do glowey things in a picture, and Kurassus here has so many glowing parts that he seemed like a good place to start. And that arm! I mean, is that not the coolest cybernetic you've ever seen, or what? It just floats there in place and stuff. Neat!

Anyways. Enough drooling fan-boy drivel for now.

I also like the background I did here. I'd been meaning to try something like this for some time, and I'm pleased it turned out as well as it did. I readily admit that backgrounds are neither my forte, nor my primary area of interest.
