This character design grew out of my fondness for the character of Rapture, and the particulars of his design out of the same sorts of plot elements.

Essentially, he was another test subject of the same process which had resulted in her unfortunate condition, having her body corrupted and gradually replaced by that of a draconic demon, though in his case the spread was more asymmetrical, and his acceptance of his condition was a good deal more complete. He was created, more or less, as an experiment to produce breeding stock for the aforementioned character, to see if it might be possible to breed a captive population of such creatures, to be put to further malevolent purposes.

The creature whose head can be seen in the background is a detail of the creature whose flesh is grafted to both characters, and whose spirit was gradually subsuming both of theirs.
