Ol' Spiderface

February, 2005

I'm really, really proud of this one.

It started off from the very simple idea of a slightly humanoid creature whose face is set way further forwards on the head than any creature alive, and it grew from there. With catfish-like tendrils and pores of indeterminate purpose all over its body, this six-eyed, hissing monster is really quite the beast. And yet, there's a sort of beauty to it, I think. It looks like something nature might conceivably produce. I'm proud of that.
